How can a place be read through the memory of someone who has lived it? Meet a fisher or resident of Al Hamriyah and listen to stories about the sea, wind directions, fishing grounds and places that hold special memories. Draw on these accounts to create visual maps combining drawing, symbols, lines and colours, and reimagine the sea as a space of memory and experience rather than simply a geographical location.
This session is free, and all materials are provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.
